Random & Seminary So Far...

This is me at EFY this past summer. I attended EFY in Virginia at Southern Virginia University.

When I sang this I had a fever, had been throwing up all day, and was barely able to stand. I hadn't even eaten real food for over a day.


I thought I'd add this... you might enjoy it.

SEMINARY :)

My teacher is Sister Gardner. We meet in our church building, and it takes me between 2-5 minutes to get to seminary. I wake up at 5:42, leave at 5:45 and get to seminary by 5:50 am. We end at 6:40 and I drive home and put in my contacts and make my lunch, and then I leave for school. I get to school around 7 and school starts at 7:30. For seminary this year we are are studying the Old Testament. We have studied the creation up to Abraham and Isaac. Today we had a lesson on sacrifice. Our teacher took something from each of us. She took a real diamond necklace from one girl, shoes from me and another boy, and random things from other people. It was a pretty good object lesson. Then we were asked to draw something that meant a lot to us (actually this part came first), I drew my eternal companion. Its actually quite funny, and serious. I wanted to draw something that would be important to me forever. That's the thing that popped into my head. I was pleased with the outcome. It was a really good lesson and I learned a lot about what Abraham had to go through, and how today we have our own sacrifices. We just need to remember that the Lord's side always win. If we put our trust in him and stay on the right path, we will end up on top, with him. And though we think we're missing out on something... In reality, we've won a lot more in the eternal spectrum.

Why not think of each day as a new, fantastic, wonderful day?! I read on a quote wall that "Happy people have happy thoughts". At first, the quote made no sense to me. Then I thought about it. No wonder happy people are always happy, and always finding happy moments in the times with the most gloom! They start each day with a happy thought. They tell themselves that, no matter what, today will be an amazing day. Nothing can get in their way!

What a marvelous idea! Can you imagine how much this world could benefit from more people finding good in the world, in people, and in every day lives? Its almost ingenious!


SO... I encourage each of you to start each day with a purpose, and, no matter what, make sure each day is an amazing day. In each moment of despair, find something to laugh about. In each trial, find something to rejoice in. When you think you'll cry, think of something wonderful. When you want to complain, say 10 things you are thankful for.

If you do this, i promise you, your day will be 1000X better than the days when you don't//

Yesterday and Today's "Good, Bad and the Ugly"!

First: Today I got my hard copy license!! yay!! I'm OFFICIALLY official!

Second: Yesterday I get this call from my mom asking if I could do I huge favor and drive over to this one lady's house and help her out with something. I find out that while unloading HER groceries, she managed to drop a 50 lb. bag of something on her foot, and she broke it. So I went over there and got the remaining groceries. I was to put them in my car and take them to this ninety something year old who we help take care of. While putting them in my car, I accidentally dropped a HEAVY bucket of liquid detergent on my foot. Here are some pictures of the "horrific" event (see bottom).


Third: While in my first class today I tripped over a computer leg and my toe ripped on the sharp edge of one of the ends. It was like 1 cm gash. Bled for a long time, hurt like no other, and bled through 12 band-aids.

Fourth: I got yelled at, and sobbed, and cried some more, and got yelled at more. Here's the deal. I decided to tough it out at school, but then it just got worse. So I went to the clinic. Two minutes later she said I had to go back to class. An hour later, I went back again. This time the pain was so bad that even just sitting I thought I was going to cry from all the pain. The clinic lady kicked me out, the resource office kicked me out, and so, balling, I went to my guidance counselor and she helped everything deescalate. Finally I calmed myself down enough to figure things out. But it was a far from pleasant day.

First Day of School Pictures/News

The last picture is my favorite :) I think I may make it my new facebook picture!

This was the first day of school. I had to coordinate my outfit with the jewelry I wanted to wear, haha. But yea, VERY successful first day. I loved it.

Halloween in August

This is my adventures with HALLOWEEN IN AUGUST! This is me and my friend Tawny a couple of weeks ago.


This is me as a vampire, reenacting the popular book "Twilight". Make-up done by my bestest bud tawn celest.



The make-up came from a halloween kit that allie randomly brought home from someone's house. It actually included a packet that said "fake blood"... RANDOM!


This is me... ATTACKING! Tawny did both my make-up and her own, we look pretty good (if i may say so!). Look at that detail!!







We decided to make our costumes a little less... scary... and go for something a little more... "fun"...

Tawn and I are officially mimes!! Yay us!! This took time, and talent. I lack both. Luckily, its hard to mess up drawing a mime's face. What is it gonna do... yell at me.. hit me... oh wait. They DON'T talk!! hah

My Senior Year So Far...

Well.... I started school, my senior year, September 4, 2007. My schedule is pretty easy.

The first day I had the following "classes":
1) Teacher's Assistant for Mrs. Roop
3) English 12
5) Geosystems
7) Government.

The second day I had the following "classes":
2) Design, Multimedia and Web Technologies
4) American Sign Language 3
5) Geosystems
6) Applied Statistics.

My teachers range from being nice, to being absolutely INSANE!! But they are definitly tolerable. My Design, Multimedia and Web Technologies teacher is currently finding me a job that relates to business so that I can get 1-2 school credits for having the job. Once I get that job, I'll be smooth sailing with money in the bank!! In applied statistics yesterday, I found out how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop... exactly 2,776. Yes, I licked AND counted till I got to the center. Sad thing is, by the time I finished my tootsie pop, the roof of my mouth was bleeding and my tounge was numb and swollen. But it was worth it. I always wanted to be able to actually lick that many times, HAHA.

So far I'm doing great. Out of the two grades I've gotten, I have an A in both classes!

My birthday is coming up on the 29th of this month and apparently I'm not the only one. Today there were 3 apparent birthdays. Each person had balloons, flowers, gifts,cards, and posters and streamers all around the school. I managed to wish two happy birthday, giving a mighty fine card (if I may say so..) to my friend Mariana. She is also a senior, but she just turned 16. CRAZY!! So I'm excited cause I'm turning 17! And yet, with being 16 for a year, no dates at all. Luckily I don't care :P

OH. And other news. We applied for a Locks of Love wig. They cost between 2 and 5 THOUSAND dollars!! About a month ago, we got this box in the mail from them. A month before that we had sent in a doctor's note explaining my condition, 2 recommends, and a picture of myself. I opened up the box and read the letter enclosed. Natalie was the only one home. She said it reminded her of when she got her acceptance letter to BYU, because I didn't read it out loud. I read it to myself. Then I told her, we were lucky enough to be picked to receive a FREE wig!! Enclosed was the kit to make the mold of my head. Sad part, I had to shave/nair off my 2 inch fuzzies. For those of you who don't know.. those fuzzies are like my best friends!! Well we did the mold, and thanks to tawny (my official nair-er) we finished it in time to mail it back. We picked hair color 33B (a medium brown with a hint of red). And guess what.... my fuzzies are BACK!! yay!!

We have a tri-ward musical fireside coming up this month. I will be singing "I Will Stand as a Witness", and my friend Talia will be singing with me.

Next month, October 13th and then 19th, are the school Homecoming dances. I already bought my dress. Normally 58$ and I got it on sale for like 28!! Good deal if I may say so :) I'm excited and I'm going with my best friend Kristina, and one of my other friends Rachel.

Katie gets married on Novemeber 23rd and the wedding prep has been a blast. Its cool to see everything finally starting to come together. Too bad my mom and katie are TOTALLY stressed. My mom spend HOURS everysay working on stuff. Good thing she liked katie a lot before this cause if she didn't, I don't think she would at all now. Haha, jk!

Yesterday was September 11th. In seminary we reflected on the events that occured 6 years before, we all thought about where we were, and how we found out about the terrible news. My seminary teacher's boss's husband died in the plane crashes along with some of her other friends. Hearing her talk about it all made me tear up. It was just terrible. After got to school, I had about 30 min. before school actually started so I listened to the tributes on the radio. It was really wonderful. When school started we had a special moment of silence for all those who died or were injured in the attacks and in the war against terrorism. It was definitly a day where we were able to reflect on our blessings and what we're grateful for.

1. By my own amusement park.
2. Buy a HUGE-O house!!

4. Travel the world AND the 7 seas!!!!
5. And last, but not least, Donate to charity/the church.

5 bad habits:
1. Being a TERRIBLE friend.
2. Not growing my hair back... BAHAHAH.
3. Going to bed late.... like 2 am EVERY night!, then sleeping in till noon.
4. Not doing my homework, skipping class, skipping school... on a daily basis..
5. Checking facebook (over 154 times a day), email (over 100 times a day) AND my blog (over 10 times a day).
